Archaeological conferences and congresses

It is difficult to imagine the life of the intellectual community without such temporary forms of organization of science as congresses and conferences. Serhii Hamchenko was interested in these events, took part in their preparation, and took important notes. That is why in the researcher’s fund you can find materials on convening the All-Union Archaeological Congress in 1928, the petition of the Department of Scientific Institutions of the People’s Commissariat of Education (PCE) of the Ukrainian SSR on convening preparatory committees, lists of archaeologists, reports on the All-Union Archaeological Conference of 1926 in Kerch, its consequences and significance, etc.
